Satara once the capital of Marathas is now known for its historical and natural heritage. Satara is in Pune division of Maharashtra state.

Sainik school satara is the first sainik school in India.

It was founded on 23 June 1961 by the defense minister K.V.Krishna. The aim of sainik school is to preparing boys mentally, academically and physically for selecting NDA (National Defense Academy), IMA (Indian Military Academy)& other defense academy. Many parents in India want their child to study in this school.

2. Mahabaleshwar

Heaven of MaharashtraMahabaleshwar is the hill station in Maharashtra. It is also an interesting things of satara. Mahabaleshwar is situated on the Sahyadri mountain range at an altitude of about 4500 feet above sea level.
Mahabaleshwar was known as the summer capital of the old Mumbai province. Tourists are mesmerized by the green nature, beautiful gardens, gardens, breathtaking views, etc.

3. Udayanraje Bhosale

6. Sajjangadh fort

Sajjangad is a fort owned by Shivaji Maharaj. Shivaji Maharaj built a monastery on the fort for his Guru Samarth Ramaswamy.
In 1676, Swami came to live on this fort. This place has Samarth Swami's monastery and his Samadhi as well as some historical books are there.

7. Ajinkyatara

Last but not the list Ajinkyatara, the fort of Satara, is the fourth capital of the Marathas. This fort was built by second Bhoj king in 1190. In 1682, Shivaji Maharaj conquered this fort.
This fort is easily visible from anywhere in the city of Satara.
There is a temple of ‘Mangala devi’ on the fort
